Youth Services

Counseling Clinic Inc's team provides a full range of behavioral and mental health services for children and adolescents experiencing: depression, anxiety, phobias, Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD), family problems, substance abuse or emotional disturbances. 

Our interdisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, psychological examiners, clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, nurses and therapists who specialize in addressing the unique treatment needs every child and adolescent we serve. Our teams treat children from birth to 18 years of age and collaborate with families to promote healthy outcomes, no matter what challenge.

Specialized Therapy Includes:

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
For children ages 3-18 who have experienced trauma, including sexual and physical abuse.
This type of therapy is structured and short-term. The goal is to improve coping mechanisms of the parents and child.

School-Based Mental Health Services
Our School-Based Mental Health Services help children whose behavioral, emotional, and social problems are affecting their academic performance. The program offers on-site clinical therapists to provide mental health and behavioral health services to students and their families in the Benton School District. 

Services are provided in conjunction with the approval of the local school district.

CCI provides interpreters for the hearing impaired as well as for other languages.

  • Unexplained injuries
  •  Grades decline
  • Poor social skills/low self-esteem
  • Withdrawn, dependent
  • Violent outbursts of anger
  • Refuses to bring friends home
  • Runs away from home

Symptoms to Look for in Preschoolers Who May Be Experiencing Depression

  • Unexplained stomach aches, headaches, or fatigue
  • Overactivity or excessive restlessness
  • Low tolerance for frustration
  • Irritability
  • Loss of pleasure in activities
  • Tendency to see the world as bleak

Symptoms to Look for in Youth Who May Be Experiencing Substance Abuse

  • Cuts classes and stops doing homework
  • Becomes angry and rebellious when disciplined by parents or teachers
  • Borrows or steals money from family and friends to buy drugs
  • Becomes secretive about where they go
  • Begins hanging out with a new crowd, many of whom are drug users
  • Feels depressed, even suicidal at times
  • Weight loss, tiredness, racing heartbeat, red eyes
